LANCASTER - The following restaurant inspections with critical violations were conducted by the Fairfield County Department of Health between Aug. 27 to 31.

  • Waffle House, 1385 Election House Rd, Lancaster, Aug. 27. Food refrigerated for more than 24 hours not properly date marked, lettuce and tomato (critical). Air gap between a plumbing fixture and a piece of equipment not sufficient to prevent back siphonage of contaminated water (critical).
  • Baymont Inn & Suites, 1721 River Valley Cir N, Lancaster, Aug. 28. Food not held at proper temperature., egg and sausage patty (critical).
  • Buckeye Lake Winery, 13750 Rosewood Rd, Thornville, Aug. 29. Food refrigerated for more than 24 hours not properly date marked, beef sliced, corn relish, gravy and cole slaw (critical). Equipment food-contact surfaces or utensils were dirty, cutting boards on prep table (critical). Observed the presence of live insects (critical). Working containers of poisonous or toxic chemicals not properly labeled (critical).
  • Massey's Pizza, 1229 N Memorial Dr, Lancaster, Aug. 30. Food equipment surfaces not cleaned at the required frequency, ice machine (critical).
