Just one month after Lady Gaga announced the end of her engagement to her talent agent fiance Christian Carino, and just a few weeks after making the world wonder if she and Bradley Cooper were truly in love with their performance at the Academy Awards, the singer has reportedly been spending time with Jeremy Runner.
An insider told Us Weekly that Lady Gaga, 32, has been “hanging out” with Renner, 48.
The insider “doesn’t believe it’s romantic at this point” but told Us Weekly that Lady Gaga has “been spending a lot of time” with Renner.
In a sign of their closeness, the “Avengers” star has invited Gaga to spend time with him and his daughter, Ava, 6. The girl is Renner’s daughter with his ex-wife, Canadian model Sonni Pacheco, according to Us Weekly.
With Renner, Lady Gaga enjoys some connection to Cooper, her co-star and director for “A Star is Born.” Renner co-starred with Cooper in the acclaimed 2013 film “American Hustle.”
In “A Star is Born,” Lady Gaga and Cooper generated lots of sexual heat playing doomed rocker lovers; their on-screen chemistry encouraged a fan base dedicated to “Jackson and Ally Forever.”
That chemistry also was apparent when Lady Gaga and Cooper did press for the film in the fall, holding each other’s hands and talking repeatedly about how they had become artistic soulmates while collaborating on the project.
The two stars definitely made a good show of being madly in love when they performed a steamy duet of the film’s hit ballad “Shallow” at the Academy Awards on Feb. 24.
People around the world watched as Lady Gaga and Cooper cuddled and engaged in intense eye contact on the Oscars stage. During an interview on Jimmy Kimmel a few days later, Lady Gaga admitted that Cooper had worked hard to create an impassioned performance that would make people believe they were in love.
“I’m an artist and I guess (Bradley and I) did a good job … fooled ya!” she said with a laugh to Kimmel.
Whether or not romance is brewing between Lady Gaga and Renner, the singer has apparently been having a good time otherwise since splitting with Carino, 50, in February. Us Weekly reported that she was seen having a night out on the town Sunday with restaurateur and “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Vanderpump.
The women dined with Vanderpump’s husband, Ken Todd, at the couple’s Pump restaurant.
“They were all in great spirits, drinking and dancing,” an eyewitness told Us Weekly. “I got to dance with Gaga and talk to her. … She was so sweet, and I told her how I’m pursuing acting, and she told me to never give up and (that) she believes in me. She could not have been sweeter.”
