Juvenile seriously hurt during Tulsa wreck

A juvenile male is said to have "potentially life-threatening injuries" following a single vehicle crash in Tulsa early Thursday morning.

The wreck happened around 12:19 a.m. near 36th and Lewis. An officer at the scene reports the driver was traveling westbound on East 36th Street when he left the roadway for an unknown reason and slammed into a steel utility pole.

“Tulsa Fire Department units were needed to extricate the driver from the vehicle,” the officer said.  “The driver, a juvenile male, was the sole occupant of the vehicle.”

Power was not interrupted because of the crash.
