Two arrested after vehicle overturns during police chase in Madisonville

MADISONVILLE, KY (WFIE) - Two people are in jail after a police chase ended in a crash in Madisonville.

A Kentucky State Police Trooper said he saw a vehicle, driven by 20-year-old Larryn Owens, of Nashville, Tennessee, driving 90-mph on northbound Interstate 69 and activated his emergency lights to initiate the chase.

State police say Owens exited at Exit 117 onto U.S. 41, made a U-turn, and re-entered the Interstate going southbound.

We're told Owens then attempted to exit at Exit 116 and sideswiped another vehicle, driven by 38-year-old Jason Orange, of Utica.

Troopers say Owens' vehicle overturned before coming to a complete stop on the southbound exit ramp.

Owens was taken to the Hopkins County Jail and charged with speeding, reckless driving, driving without insurance, driving without an operator's license, fleeing or evading, wanton endangerment, and no other state registration.

A passenger, 26-year-old Dominique Stone, of Nashville, was also taken to the jail on an outstanding warrant out of Warren County.
