GURLEY, AL (WAFF) - A fire broke out at Mt. Pisgah Seventh Day Adventist Church off U.S. 72. Sunday afternoon.

Officials say they were called in shortly after 2 p.m. Crews from Gurley, Keel Mountain, Central, Big Cove and Owens Cross Roads all responded.

The fire left a hole in the roof among other damage.

No one was injured.

The cause remains under investigation.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office is handling the investigation along with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
