Althea “Thea” Mohler

Mrs. Althea “Thea” Mohler died peacefully at her home on Feb. 25th 2018 in Port Townsend, WA, at the age of ninety five.

Thea is survived by her children Catherine Lindgren of Kamiah, ID, Stephen Mohler of Port Hadlock, WA, Joanne Musielak of Haiku, Maui, HI, Michelle Raymond of Port Townsend, WA, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Clifford in Westport, WA, and her son, John, also in Westport.

Mrs. Mohler was born on Oct. 9, 1922 in New Orleans, LA, to Alexander and Laura Helwig. After completing high school there she moved with an aunt and uncle to Seattle, WA. There she met her future husband, Clifford Mohler. They were married in 1945 near the end of her service in the US Marines and his service in the army during WWII.

The Mohlers moved to Port Angeles in 1952. They were active there in Queen of Angels Catholic Church. They moved to Westport, WA, in 1979.

In about 2000, Thea moved to Port Townsend, WA where she worked as a volunteer at the Children’s Orthopedic Thrift store for a number of years.
