Wisconsin lifestyle brand Drink Wisconsinbly plans to open a new pub in the Milwaukee Bucks’ entertainment block.
The lifestyle business was developed in 2013. Drink Wisconsinbly sells its products online, plus at retail locations around the state. The company also opened a pub on National Avenue in the Walker’s Point neighborhood in 2016 and has a presence inside Fiserv Forum.
Drink Wisconsinbly intends to close that National Avenue location and move the operation into the next venue, according to a social media post.
Permit records filed with the city of Milwaukee indicate that Drink Wisconsinbly plans to build out a space in the entertainment block at 320 W. Highland Ave., the same space expected to be filled by “eatertainment” business Punch Bowl Social.
The location is adjacent to the Bucks’ new arena. Drink Wisconsinbly will occupy about 3,500 square feet of the space.
The permit documents indicate the space will include three bars, plus space for Drink Wisconsinbly’s merchandise. The company sells apparel and drink ware.
The entertainment block is scheduled to open in the spring. It is being developed by Head of the Herd Real Estate Development LLC.
Drink Wisconsinbly did not immediately return requests for comment about the plans. John Casanova, the president of Wisconsinbly Holdings and Drink Wisconsinbly Beverage Company LLC, said in the news release that Drink Wisconsinbly would “celebrate all things Wisconsin” at the new location.
Wednesday’s announcement marks the third business named for the entertainment block. Good City Brewing is also headed to the development. A beer garden opened in the fall.
Drink Wisconsinbly's National Avenue pub will be open Wednesday through Saturday beginning Dec. 12. The business will discontinue its regular food menu but will offer drink specials and a complimentary daily buffet a 6 p.m.
Its last day on National Avenue is Dec. 31.
