The Android 6.0 Marshmallow is the most recent Android build that will soon roll out to smartphones and tablets across the globe. Sony has confirmed the list of the Xperia smartphones that will receive the Android M update.

On Oct. 5, Google started the release of Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for devices like the Nexus 5, the Nexus 6 and the Nexus 9. Through the official Sony Mobile blog, the Japanese tech company has confirmed the Xperia smartphones that will receive the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update.

The Sony Xperia Z5, the Xperia Z5 Compact, the Xperia Z5 Premium, the Xperia Z3+, the Xperia Z3, the Xperia Z3 Compact, the Xperia Z2, the Xperia M5, the Xperia C5 Ultra, the Xperia M4 Aqua and the Xperia C4 are the Sony Xperia smartphones that will be blessed with Android 6.0 update. As far as Sony Xperia tablets are concerned, the Android M update will be released for the Xperia Z4 Tablet, the Xperia Z3 Tablet, and the Xperia Z2 Tablet.

Gizmo China had reported earlier in this month that the Xperia M5, the C5 Ultra, the Xperia Z3+, the Xperia Z3, the Xperia Z3 Compact, the Xperia Z2, and the Xperia Z Ultra Google Play Edition will be the first set of Sony devices along with the Xperia Z5 series smartphones to receive the Android 6.0 update. Even though Sony has not confirmed about the Xperia Z1, Gizmo China claimed that it will also receive the update later on.

The LG G4 has become the first non-Nexus device to get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow update. Its users in Poland will be receiving the new software update next week, Android Police reported. Sony has not revealed when its devices will start receiving the update. However, according to its official blog post, it is working hard to release the Android 6.0 update to more number of devices as fast as it can.
