Milltown Acme Sells $100K-Winning Lottery Ticket

Check your pockets if you bought a lotto ticket at the Milltown Acme! The ticket won the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot in Tuesday night's drawing.

MILLTOWN, NJ — Check your pockets if you bought a lottery ticket at the Milltown Acme recently!

That's because the local grocery store sold a ticket that won $100,000 this week, the NJ state lottery announced. Another winning ticket was sold in Maplewood, so the winners will split the proceeds, each taking home $50,000 before taxes.

The tickets were drawn in the drawing Tuesday night, Aug. 6.

Two lucky tickets matched all five numbers drawn splitting the $100,000 Jersey Cash 5 jackpot from the Tuesday, Aug. 6 drawing. Each ticket is worth $50,000. The winning numbers were: 02, 09, 16, 27 and 33 and the XTRA number was: 02. Those tickets were sold at the following locations:

  • Essex County: Maple Chek, 1942 Springfield Ave., Maplewood; and
  • Middlesex County: Acme #2916, 300 Ryder Lane, Milltown.
