'America’s Got Talent' star performs holiday show
Choral singers of the Louisville area abound with many performances during December featuring with carols, spiritual favorites and, of course, several performances of Handel’s “Messiah.”
Add to the mix the singing prodigy Jackie Evancho of Pittsburgh, who has performed her fair share of classical works. That includes Puccini’s “O mio babbino caro” on her breakthrough performance six years ago at the age of 10 on the television show “America’s Got Talent” and Puccini’s “Nessun Dorma” on her first album, “Dream with Me,” released in 2011.

Since then she has made two Christmas albums. Now 16, Evancho comes to Louisville on a tour promoting her most recent “Someday at Christmas.”
