China-Laos satellite joint venture, Lao ministry partner to broadcast school programmes


VIENTIANE (Xinhua): The Research Institute for Education Science under the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports has agreed with Lao Asia Pacific Satellite Co Ltd (LaosAT), a China-Laos joint venture, to transmit programmes for schools via Lao National TV Channel 8 with broadcasts expected to begin on Sept 1.

An agreement signing ceremony was held in the Lao capital Vientiane on Tuesday (July 21) between Director General of the Research Institute for Education Science Onkeo Nouannavong and LaosAT representative, the latter told Xinhua on Friday.
