Powderly man arrested after vehicle and foot pursuit

A Powderly man is arrested in Logan County after leading police on a vehicle and foot pursuit.

The Logan County Sheriff's Office says just after midnight Thursday, a deputy attempted to stop a pickup driven by Loren Scott of Powderly for a traffic violation.

Scott then attempted to drive through a field to get away from the deputy. He then got out of the vehicle and fled into the woods. Scott was later found hiding in some brush.

After being taken into custody, Scott was found to be driving under a suspended license and had an active warrant for his arrest. Scott was taken to the Logan County Jail

He is charged with:

-Fleeing or evading police 1st degree in a motor vehicle

-Fleeing or evading police 2nd degree on foot

-Operating on a suspended license
