2nd Man Arrested For Murder Of Man Found Near Pearl-Cohn

Gang Unit detectives arrested a 20-year-old man for the murder of a man found dead in an alley near Pearl-Cohn High School.

NASHVILLE, TN -- Metro Nashville Police Gang Unit detective arrested a second man for the murder of a 20-year-old man found near Pearl-Cohn High School Feb. 24.

Police arrested Jonathan Chatman, 20, at an apartment complex on Buena Vista Pike Tuesday. He is accused in the shooting death of Charlie Brown Jr., who was found shot in the head at the intersection of 26th Avenue North and Alameda Street.

Another man accused in the murder, Tamarrius Portis, 20, was arrested Friday night downtown after a foot chase across several blocks, police said.
