Bobby Dean Wilson, 63, of North Vernon, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born November 29, 1952, in Hazard, Kentucky, Mr. Wilson was the son of the late Robert and Harlean Brashear Wilson. He married Janet Cain on January 25, 1985, in Scipio. She survives.

Mr. Wilson was a 1971 graduate of Jennings County High School. He drove a school bus for Jennings County Schools and was owner of Wilson’s Auto Sales, Wilson Satellite Sales and Wilson Wrecker Service and also was manager of Twin City Speedway. Mr. Wilson was a member of Clifty Creek Coon Hunters Association where he had once served as president. He enjoyed coon hunting, racing, watching sports, playing euchre, coaching Little League, boating and camping.

He is survived by his wife, Janet Wilson of North Vernon; sons, Gordie (Jane) Lucas of Pittsboro, Rob (Angie) Wilson and Greg Lucas, both of North Vernon; brothers, Donnie (Peggy) Wilson and Jerry (Cheryl) Wilson, both of North Vernon; sisters, Gail (Richard) Wells of Smilax, Kentucky, and Diane (Brian) Ellison of Scipio; grandchildren, Kaylah (Scott) Bowman, Calli Lucas, Chace Wilson, Chelsia Neal and Shawna Elmore, all of North Vernon, Brett Lucas and Jenna Lucas, both of Pittsboro; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three infant brothers.

Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016, at Dove-Sharp & Rudicel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in North Vernon. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 5, 2016. Burial will be at Vernon Cemetery in Vernon.

Memorials may be made through the funeral home to Jennings County High School softball, basketball and baseball programs.
