Disney Channel star Debby Ryan has apologized for driving under the influence, stating she is “so sorry to disappoint everyone.”

“Over the last few days I have had the chance to think about my actions, and I wish I had used better judgement,” she wrote on Twitter Wednesday. “I recognize that I am a role model and have always worked hard to set a good example for my millions of fans. I am so sorry to disappoint everyone.”

TMZ reported that Ryan, who starred on “Jessie,” was driving in Los Angeles last week when she made a left turn and slammed into a Mercedes. When law enforcement officials arrived, they administered a sobriety test and allegedly arrested the 22-year-old for a felony DUI.

However, authorities bumped the charge down to misdemeanor since injuries were minor and she only blew a .11 — the legal limit is .08.

TMZ reported that she is out on $100,000 bail and has been charged with driving under the influence and driving with .08 blood alcohol level or higher.

Ryan’s reps have not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.
