The Friendly Garden Club Garden Walk | Thursday the 19th

We’re welcoming back the annual Garden Walk hosted by the Friendly Garden Club of Traverse City. The tour consists of five gardens in the hills just west of Traverse City. With the close proximity of each garden to one another, you can take your time and stroll from garden to garden. Homemade cookies, refreshments, educational displays and eye-catching flower designs are just a few reasons to include this relaxing outing in your weekend plans.

Pizza & Pipes: Gourmet Pizza Dinner and Concert | Friday the 20th

Pizza and music have one thing in common … they both pair well with just about anything. Put the two together and enjoy a night at The Music House Museum in Williamsburg. Enjoy gourmet pizza while listening to an accomplished organist, Andrew Rogers, perform on the ‘Mighty Wurlitzer’ theater organ. Tickets range from $30 for adult tickets to $10 for children under the age of 10. 

FREE Community Screening of “Look & See” | Friday the 20th

The Elk Rapids Cinema is hosting a community screening of “Look & See: A Portrait of Wendell Berry.” The film, which is highly influenced by writer and evangelist Wendell Berry’s agrarian philosophy; brings farming alive combining observations, interviews and evocative photography across the four seasons in the farming cycle. Following the film, there will be a live discussion. The event is being put on by Crosshatch Center for Art & Ecology, Au Sable Institute of Environmental Studies, Under Toe Farm, MyNorth Media, and the Elk Rapids Cinema. Leelanau Peninsula Wine on the Water | Saturday the 21st

Northern Michigan wineries bring people from all across the state, country, and even the world to Traverse City year-round. Check wine tasting off your summer bucket list at the Leelanau Peninsula Wine on the Water festival. Enjoy the convenience of being able to sample wines from several local wineries, all at the same location. Local ciders and beers, great food and live music will also be featured at the event. Wine on the Water is at the Suttons Bay Marina Park from 1–7 p.m. Tickets cost $15 if purchased in advance and $20 at the gate. Included in the price is a commemorative wine glass and three tasting tickets.

Singin’ in the Rain, JR. | Saturday the 21st

What is sometimes referred to as the “Greatest Movie Musical of All Time,” the premise of  Singin’ in the Rain, JR. follows two silent stars that are a hot item until talking pictures threaten to ruin the leading lady’s career. Her squeaky voice is a big problem until a talented young actress steps in to secretly talk and sing for her. This is a performance not to be missed! Catch the show at Old Town Playhouse. 

The Accidentals | Sunday the 22nd

A Sunday night concert is the best way to end your weekend on a good note (pun intended). Join your favorite Traverse City roots band, The Accidentals, at the Ramsdell Regional Center for the Arts in Manistee from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Tickets range from $15 to $27.
