Aaron Judge’s home run into the third deck in left Citi Field was officially measured at 457 feet. His teammates weren’t buying it.
“Never seen a ball go up there,” Chase Headley said. “If that ball only went 450 then no ball is ever going 500 feet because that ball was crushed.”
“[It must’ve gone] 530 feet. They told me 450 feet, [and I] told them no chance. At least 500 feet, one of the furthest I’ve seen,’’ Didi Gregorius said.
“I felt like that was 550. It looked like it,’’ Yankees starter Jaime Garcia said. “He’s great, man.”

Judge added a single for his first multi-hit game since July 18 as the Yankees topped the Mets 5-3, but he also set a dubious MLB mark: With a whiff in his 33rd straight game, Judge broke the single-season strikeout streak record set by Adam Dunn in 2012.
Judge is slumping hard since the All-Star break and his Home Run Derby win, hitting just .185 with a .398 slugging percentage. At least he’s still capable of sending baseballs where they’re not supposed to go.
