In honor of Women's History Month, Fairchild Air Force Base is sending an all women's flight crew on a misson Friday. And talk about girl power, because the plane these women are flying is huge, it's a KC-135. In the ten years one of these women have been a pilot, she said she's never had an all women flight crew.

"I love flying it, it's very powerful. There's 88,000 pounds of thrust, it's a kick butt plane," Major Emma Steinbar said.

But, not as kick-butt as her all-star crew.

"It's not a lot that we get to get a bunch of women air crew, and ground crew, together," Major Steinbar said.

Major Emma Steinbar loves to fly, and she said Fairchild Air Force Base has never made her feel like she couldn't do something, because she's a woman.

"It's very free, and very transparent, I'm very fortuante and proud," Major Steinbar said.

Major Steinbar will be instructing other women how to fly the plane, while Chief Master Sergeant Andrea Inmon handles the boom operations.

"I never thought when I came into the airfoce that I would've had this opportuinty," CMSGT Inmon said.

And her job is not easy. Mid-air, Inmon has to transfer gas from one plane, into another. She's the first active duty female boom operater in her field. On Friday's flight, she's passing on her knowledge to another young women.

"To be able to have that experience, to train with another female, and bring her up through the ranks with me, is an awesome opportunity. Espically to showcase to her that we as a team can do this together," CMSGT Inmon said.
