2009 Boys United hosted the Scarsdale Milan and won 3-0. Goals were scored by Kyle DeLucia, Jayden De La Cruz and Kayden Pisani. United has finished its fall season, winning 3 of their last 4 games. Coaches Gary Fairley, Kurt Pisani and Eric Valenti are looking forward to seeing their team, still in its first year together, build upon their momentum and make improvements into the spring season.

2009 Boys Red Lions were defeated 3-2 on the road by the FC Transylvania Barca White. Coached by Brad Scheller, the Red Lions will close out their season at home against the New Rochelle White Sharks at 3pm on Pocantico School field on Sunday, November 18.

2009 Girls Red Fury coached by Katie McMahon, Jim McGovern and John Sutherland suffered a hard fought 2-0 loss to the Chappaqua Blast at a chilly Seven Bridges Field in Chappaqua on Sunday. Goalie Rose Ritz played a stellar first half but the sharp passing of the Blast eventually broke through the Red Fury defense. Miss Ritz made a terrific save on a penalty kick, preserving the 1-0 score at half time.

The teams played a tight second half, with the Blast offense continuing to apply pressure. Red Fury goalie Mayiumi Marcus Kanesaka made several key saves but the Blast converted with five minutes left in the game. The Fury continued to charge, with several drives from the offense. The Red Fury play their final two games of the Fall, against the Wolfgang Lady Wolves in the Bronx on Saturday and against the Quickstrike Patriots on Sunday in Pocantico Hills.

2008 Girls Red Comets travelled to the Quickstrike Patriots to make up a game, and lost 3-2 in a tough contest. On Sunday, they scored a decisive 4-0 victory at home against the Chappaqua Cyclones. The Red Comets are coached by Joe Block and Sven Armster and will close out their fall season on the road against the Edgemont Fireballs on Sunday, November 18.

2008 Boys Fusion travelled to the Pelham Pirates and saw no score through the first 18’ while the boys literally warmed up. Fusion finally scored when Kieran Degen found Sean Mackiewicz on the right side for a long lob into the goal. Minutes later, Degen brought pressure on a flustered Pirate who scored an own goal. Just before halftime, Degen orchestrated a beautiful play where he dispossessed a defender and broke away alone downfield for the score.

Immediately into the second half, Bruno Flores assisted a goal by Edwin Dutan at short range. A few minutes later, Flores brought pressure within the Pelham goal box, forcing another Pirate own goal. Despite capable goalkeeping from Dylan Largo, Pelham was able to get one into the net. Shortly before the final whistle, Justin Paute took a free kick from 25 yards out and angled it perfectly into the goal.

Excellent offensive pressure from Jaiden Brito, Jezrael Panama and Ian Papadopoulos kept Pelham on the defensive for much of the game while Dylan Pasato and Raul Socualaya made big contributions to defense. With a final score of 6-1, Fusion remain undefeated 9-0, clinching the 2008 Boys Division 5 title.

Coaches George Papadopoulos, Ken Mackiewicz and Mike Degen were frustrated with their team’s slow start, but pleased with a quality all-around team effort. Fusion will close out their season when they host the Mount Pleasant Wildcats on Sunday, November 18 at 12 noon at Hackley School field.

2008 Boys River Sharks engaged in a spirited, yet windy and cold, friendly match against SHFC Fusion on Saturday. River Sharks won 5-3 and both teams had fun, appreciating how much soccer talent exists in this group of 2008 boys.

On Sunday, the River Sharks won 5-0 at home against the Shrub Oak Fusion. With a record of 4-3-1, they will travel to the Pelham Strikers on Sunday, November 18 for their team’s last weekend of fall soccer. The River Sharks are coached by Ed Greenberg, Gerardo Soto and Michael Glynn.

2007 Girls Blaze -- Shut out twice last weekend, Blaze Coaches John Sutherland and Annette O'Hanlon had to be worried what had happened to their vaunted Blaze offense. There worries were put to rest less than 2 minutes into the game when after Kayla McGuigan had hit the opposing cross bar, striker Sami "Beast Mode" Marvin's strong kick from just outside the goalie box found net and put the Blaze ahead 1 - 0. Five minutes later, forward Zoey Murphy almost had a second goal but after dribbling past two defenders, her shot on goal hit the crossbar and went out of play. Moments later, Blaze defenseman Maggie Yalmokis stole the ball on a throw in, and passed to Kayla McGuigan who fed Julissa Casiano who in turn dribbled quickly down the sideline and kicked the ball into the far corner when her approach on goal was challenged by the Rock Star goalie. Unfortunately, the refs called offside, nullifying Julissa's great shot. The scored remained 1 - 0 at the half as Meghan O'Hanlon, who has become one of the Blaze's best defenders, twice successfully challenged Rock Stars attacks, denying shots on goal.

The Blaze continued pressing their attack in the second half, as defender Gabby Disney had a long pass over several Rock Stars midfielders to Juliana Marvin, who deftly passed to Kayla McGuigan who passed in turn to Zoey Murphy. Zoey's kick was just wide of the net however. The Rock Stars were determined to tie up the game on their home turf and pressed hard for the remainder of the second half, but Coach Sutherland expertly rotated Blaze defensemen Penny McVey, Lizzie Molina, and Juliana Marvin who were up to the task of keeping the Blaze's third shutout of the season intact. With less than 5 minutes remaining however, the game took a turn for the worse when goalie Emily Aridas, who had 12 saves in the game, was injured corralling a rebound after a diving save, when a sprinting Rock Star striker struck Emily's collarbone instead of the ball. Emily was forced from the game, but back up goalie Julissa Casiano was able to finish the game, saving one last Rock Star shot on goal in the closing moments.

Emily was sore and will sport a black and blue for a while, but after this week's 1 - 0 Blaze victory, is looking forward to next week, when the Blaze will finish their season home at Hackley Field against the visiting West Side Red Bulls.

2007 Boys Dynamo travelled to the Somers Galaxy on Saturday, November 10 for a make up game and lost 8-2. On Sunday, they visited the Chappaqua Revolution and fell 4-2. The Dynamo, coached by Alberto Blanco, will host the Landsowne Yonkers Cyclones on Sunday, November 18, at Hackley School field at 1:30pm.

2006 Boys Firebolts coached by Ricardo Gonzalez have finished their season with a 4-2-4 record.

2006 Boys Warriors fell 2-1 at home to the division-winning Manhattan Whitecaps. The Warriors finished their fall season with a 4-4-1 record, having allowed a low 13 goals total in their 9 games.

2005 Girls Cyclones fell 3-2 at home against the Port Chester Golden Cats. Coached by Nick Tsilibes, Tracey Koch and Michael Levine, the Cyclones will end their fall season on the road on November 18 against the Harrison Sky Blue.

2005 Boys Legends coached by Fergus O’Sullivan, Herb Weltig, and Michael Weitzen had a close but well deserved 1-0 away win versus New Rochelle. A terrific defensive performance was capped with Nikhil, off a through ball from Kenneth, tapping around the keeper and finishing into an empty net. With closest rivals losing to Port Chester (3 cheers for Port Chester) the Legends are Division 1 Champions again!

The Legends will close out their season at Washington Irving field at 11 am on Sunday, November 18 against the second-place FC Somers United.

Los Gauchos will host the FC Spring Valley Blue at Washington Irving field at 9am on Sunday, November 18 to complete their fall season.

2002 Varsity Girls Mustangs remain in first place after tying New Rochelle 1-1. Juliana Largess played in her first game back and provided the lone Mustang goal. New Rochelle scored the equalizer off of one of many generous referee awarded foul kicks. Back-up keeper Maya Weitzen attempted to clear the kick with her fist, but the clearance wasn’t far enough out and New Rochelle was able to ricochet the ball in the net off a Mustang defender. Next coach John Sutherland’s squad will finish the fall mini-season Sunday against Yonkers with championship hopes on the line.
