Alaska Will Fly To West Coast Hubs From Paine Field

Alaska Airlines will connect Everett's Paine Field with major cities along the West Coast.

EVERETT, WA - Alaska Airlines on Tuesday morning announced a plan to connect Paine Field to major West Coast cities with nonstop flights. Seattle-based Alaska will bring add flights that serve eight cities beginning this fall.

The new destinations offer an alternative to Sea-Tac airport for north Puget Sound residents. A trip from Edmonds or Shoreline to Sea-Tac is more than 30 miles, while Paine Field is about 11 miles north of Edmonds.

"This is both a historic occasion and a great honor for Alaska Airlines. We are excited to be able to continue our commitment to the State of Washington and the Pacific Northwest," said Alaska Chief Commercial Officer Andrew Harrison in a press release. "We're proud to become the anchor tenant of the new terminal at Paine Field. With so many new possibilities for business and leisure travel, we believe this will bring increased opportunities to our communities."
