E.O. Smith Zooms Into Top 5 of High School Boys Soccer Poll

A big win over previously top-ranked Farmington helped propel the Panthers into the top 5 of the weekly coaches poll.

STORRS, CT — Six straight wins to open the 2018 season propelled Fairfield Prep into the top position in the most recent weekly boys soccer coaches poll.

The Jesuits received first-place nods from seven of 14 voters to move atop the Class LL/L rankings, after placing second last week. Xavier was second, garnering four first-place votes, and Farmington was third, collecting a pair of top votes.

E.O. Smith, which collected a first-place vote, jumped from outside the top 10 to fourth in the most recent balloting.

Lewis Mills remained on top of the M/S poll.
