Veterans Day: Free meals and retail deals for military, past and present

 

Restaurants and retailers here in the Capital Region and beyond are thanking veterans and active-duty military with free and discount meal deals this Veteran’s Day holiday, Sunday, Nov. 11. Below are confirmed offers. This list will surely grow and feel free to share any you are aware of by commenting below.

RESTAURANT OFFERS:

Sunday, Nov. 11:

99 Restaurant & Pub: Veterans and active-duty military can enjoy a complimentary lunch from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Applebee’s: Active duty military and veterans can enjoy a free, full-size entree from a special menu.

Bob Evans: Get free meal from a special menu.

Carrabba’s: Get a free appetizer with any purchase. Also available Monday. 

Chili’s Bar & Grill: All veterans and active duty personnel can enjoy a free meal on at participating locations.

Chipotle: All military personnel (active and inactive), veterans and spouses will receive a free burrito, bowl or salad from open to close when another of equal or lesser value is purchased.

Cracker Barrel: Veterans will receive a complimentary Double Chocolate Fudge Coca-Cola Cake dessert or Crafted Coffee beverage.

Dunkin’ Donuts: Service members past and present can enjoy a free donut, no purchase necessary.

Friendly’s: Veterans and active military can enjoy a free breakfast, lunch or dinner with valid ID or honorable discharge card.

Hooters: Veterans and current servicemen and women can enjoy a free meal from a special menu.

Little Caesar’s Pizza: Veterans and active military members receive a free $5 Lunch Combo from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Menchie’s: Veterans and active duty military who show I.D. or are in uniform will receive a free 6 ounce cup of frozen yogurt all day on Veterans Day.

Red Lobster: Service members can receive a complimentary appetizer or dessert from a special menu.

Red Robin: All veterans and active duty military members can enjoy a free Red’s Tavern Double burger with Bottomless Steak Fries on Veterans Day.

Ruby Tuesday: All military personnel can get a free appetizer of up to a $10 value on Nov. 11.

Starbucks: Veterans, active duty service members and military spouses, enjoy a free tall (12 fl oz) hot brewed coffee at any participating location. Also, give a Veterans Starbucks Card or eGift now through Sunday and Starbucks will donate $5 to veterans service organizations that are working to strengthen our communities.

Stewart’s Shops: In honor of Veteran’s Day, all customers can receive a single scoop cone for just 50 cents.

Texas Roadhouse: Active and retired personnel are invited to enjoy a free lunch from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Veteran’s Day.

Monday, Nov. 12:

Bruegger’s Bagels: Veterans and active military members can ge a free coffee, any size, with valid ID

Denny’s: Military personnel can enjoy breakfast a free Build Your Own Grand Slam from 5 a.m. to noon. 

Golden Corral: The buffet eatery is thanking anyone who has served in the U.S. military with a free dinner from 5-9 p.m.

Red Lobster: Service members can receive a complimentary appetizer or dessert from a special menu.

RETAIL AND SERVICE DEALS:

Daily through Nov. 12:

Target: All military, veterans and their families get 10 percent off through Veteran’s Day.

Daily through Nov. 14:

Ocean State Job Lot: As part of Operation Thank You, all active duty, National Guard and reserve military servicemen and women; all military veterans; and their immediate family members and dependents will receive 25 percent off their purchases. Some exclusions apply.

Friday, Nov. 9 through Sunday, Nov. 11:

Goodyear Auto Service: All active and retired military members and first responders get free “Checks for Vets,” plus up to $250 off tires. “Checks for Vets” includes free tire, brake and battery checks. Military and first responders will also receive 10 percent off tires instantly, which means $250 in savings when used with additional offers in-store. Appointments can be booked beginning Nov. 9, but may redeemed through Nov. 16.

Sunday, Nov. 11 and Monday, Nov. 12:

Hoffman’s Car Wash: Hoffman’s is offering a free Ultimate Exterior with Tire Shine car wash to military members. Also, they are offering $9.99 (save $30) Signature Service Oil Changes for military members at any Hoffman Jiffy Lube location.

Sunday, Nov. 11:

Great Clips: Current or former military members can receive a free haircut or get a card for a free haircut in the future.

Tractor Supply: Veterans, active-duty military and dependents can receive 15 percent off a purchase.

OTHER OFFERS:

Hyatt: Individuals who have served or are currently serving in any official government-sponsored branch of the United States armed services and their immediate family members can get between 10 and 15 percent off their stay at any participating Hyatt-branded hotel in the United States with offer code MILVET.  The Hyatt House brand will also allow eligible military personnel, veterans and their immediate family members to combine the Veteran and Military Rate with its upcoming holiday promotion.
