The Haylie Brae road is set to be closed during the day for two weeks, excluding weekends, starting on 22 January.
The A760 (between A78 and B784) is to be closed from 22 January to 2 February, 9am to 4.30pm (week days only) for carriageway resurfacing works
A North Ayrshire Council spokesman said: “The scheme is within the 2017-18 carriageway and footway programme and within these works are resurfacing of various sections of carriageway between Kilbirnie and Largs.
“”During the closure the diversion will be via B784, B780, A737, A738, and the A78.”
The A760 was last closed for resurfacing in August/September 2016.
Last year, we reported that a total of £187,000 is to be spent by North Ayrshire Council on road resurfacing on the A760 Largs-Kilbirnie carriageway to improve one of the most important networks in and out of town.
The overall carriageway resurfacing budget for North Ayrshire is £1.85m, with an overall £3,944,750 projected for next year’s roads maintenance programme by North Ayrshire Council.
NAC has a statutory obligation to manage and maintain its public road network. The adopted road network within North Ayrshire has a total length of 1034km.The core roads assets are currently estimated at a value of £1.7billion.
According to last year’s figures on Cumbrae’s B896, a total of £44,000 is to be spent on road improvements.Flatt Road in Largs is to receive £47,000 of road repairs, and £163,000 is to be spent on road screeding in Largs.
Footway resurfacing is also included within the roads budget for the forthcoming year and a number of areas have been highlighted including the full length of Kelvin Street in Largs (£74,000) and Danefield Avenue (£22,000).
In Skelmorlie, £96,000 has been earmarked for street lighting replacements in Castle Road and Long Hill areas. And likewise, £142,000 has been set aside for Keppenburn Avenue and Montgomerie Avenue lighting improvements.
