Koda Glover was recalled from Triple-A Syracuse by Washington on Wednesday after the Nationals lost right-handed pitcher Kelvin Herrera to a right rotator cuff impingement.

Herrera, 28, left Tuesday’s late game with the Atlanta Braves and was put on the 10-day disabled list.

Herrera, added in a trade with the Kansas City Royals June 18 in exchange for three minor leaguers, has gone 1-2 with three saves and a 4.76 ERA in 19 outings with the Nationals.

Glover, 25, played eight games with the Triple-A Syracuse after rehabbing an injured shoulder. In those eight appearances, Glover recorded a 2.25 ERA and a 32.3 percent strikeout rate.
