Keesler Federal names Joanna Calhoun Regional Manager for Gulfport area

BILOXI, MS (September 10, 2018) — Keesler Federal Credit Union has named Joanna Calhoun as Regional Manager of Retail Operations for the Gulfport Market. She will oversee operations for the credit union’s locations in Gulfport as well as Long Beach.
Calhoun also will serve as branch manager of the recently opened Keesler Federal location in the historic Hewes Building in downtown Gulfport. The credit union purchased the five-story building, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, earlier this year.

“Joanna is the perfect person to be leading our retail operations in Gulfport,” said Andy Swoger, Keesler Federal President and CEO. “She knows the market, has a wealth of experience and will help us meet growing member demand. Gulfport is extremely important to Keesler Federal, so that is an indication of our strong belief in her capabilities.”

Calhoun has worked at Keesler Federal for more than 10 years in a variety of positions, including financial service representative, loan officer commercial lender and manager of branches in Diamondhead, Bay Waveland and Slidell (La.).

She earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi. Calhoun is active in the community, including secretary of the Gulf Coast Chapter of Credit Unions. She is a resident of Bay St. Louis.

Additionally, ground has been broken on a stand-alone drive thru location on 28th Street in Gulfport near U.S. 49.
