Most blogged artists: Keep Shelly in Athens, Born Ruffians

On Friday, February 22, the fantastically monikered Keep Shelly in Athens re-enters the Hype Machine's most blogged artists chart in fourth position, while Canadian rockers Born Ruffians make an appearance in ninth position.

Greek duo Keep Shelly are generating buzz surrounding their new single "Madmen Love" after signing to Cascine -- one of the hottest labels around and home to Chad Valley and Erika Spring among others.

"Madmen Love" is taken from an as-yet-unnamed album by the Greek duo due to be released later this year. Consequence of Sound writes, "The brooding, dramatic cut bubbles and sputters with a heavy heat before exploding into a weightless and dreamy atmosphere," while Listen Before You Buy describes it as a "nuclear wasteland of a track, methodically sinister and searing in its edgy distortion."

Elsewhere on the chart Canadian indie rock band Born Ruffians re-enters in ninth position thanks to the buzz surrounding the new single "Needle" from forthcoming album "Birthmarks." The Music Ninja describes the track as "punchy and crunchy, riddled with dancing guitar lines, and buoyed so pleasantly by enthusiastic pop melodies and unrestrained joyous yelping," while Quick Before It Melts describes "Needle" as "like a sweet morsel of caramel that melts upon consumption, gumming up your mouth/mind with its gooey goodness, rendering speech and language impossible."
