Driver crashes into multiple vehicles, stabs himself in the chest on Highway 80

JACKSON, MS (WLBT) - A man crashed into multiple vehicles and stabbed himself on Highway 80 Monday morning.
According to Lt. McGairty with Pearl police, 44-year-old Michael Joe Kimbrell, of Pearl, was driving a green pickup truck around 10 a.m. and crashed into a car at Pearson Road and Highway 80 before hitting another vehicle on Old Brandon Road.
He also hit a UHaul on Highway 80.
He then ran his truck into a ditch off Highway 80. He got out of the truck and began stabbing himself in the chest multiple times with a knife.
Pearl police were able to catch up to him and took him to UMMC to treat the stab wounds.
The truck he was driving was totaled.
