Oklahoma Wesleyan has a hardwood battle with an old rival as College of the Ozarks comes to the Mueller Sports Complex for a non-conference game. The sixth-ranked Eagles are 2-0 having knocked off their first two opponents, St. Thomas and Kansas Christian, despite turning the ball more than 20 times in each contest.

Eagles head coach Donnie Bostwick says the team is trying too hard to make the extra pass right now.

OKWU returns a majority of its scoring from last season. However, Lance Tipton a transfer from Southwestern Assemblies of God University has worked his way into the starting lineup. Tipton played under Bostwick for a year at SAGU before the coach returned for his second stint at OKWU. Tipton was a high school teammate of Isaak Rowe who also played a year at SAGU. Tipton talks about why he transferred.

The Eagles have a history against C of O including a 60-53 victory in the 2009 NAIA national championship game. The win gave Bostwick and the Eagles their lone NAIA title.

Tipoff at 7 p.m. Radio coverage with Max Gross and Roger Skelly can be heard on 99.1 FM KPGM.
