There will be a ‘civil war’ in the country if population is not controlled, says RSS leader
Indresh Kumar
MEERUT: Senior RSS functionary Indresh Kumar on Wednesday warned of a “civil war like” situation in the country if population control bill is not passed soon. Last year, during the Monsoon session, a few Members of Parliament had tabled a draft demanding a population control bill.
“If there is further delay in the enactment of population control bill, it may lead to civil war,” Kumar said in Meerut on Wednesday.
He was in the city to announce a three-day ‘padyatra’ beginning October 11. The yatra will start from Meerut and culminate at Jantar Mantar in Delhi.
According to Anil Chaudhary, national president of the NGO organizing the yatra, “The padyatra will start from Meerut and will stop at Modinagar from where it will move further on October 12 and will halt at Ghaziabad. Delhi will be the last stop. We are expecting a least a lakh people to join the cause.”
