GRAYSVILLE, Alabama - A Graysville man was arrested Thursday night on charges he was manufacturing methamphetamine at his home on Main Street.

Ricky McCoy, 54, remains in the Jefferson County Jail today on bonds totaling more than $1.5 million.

Jefferson County sheriff's deputies went to the home at 770 South Main Street Thursday evening after receiving a tip that methamphetamine was being made there. Once at the home, they found both components of the drug, some finished product and paraphernalia including a glass pipe, digital scales and small plastic bags used for packaging the meth, said Chief Deputy Randy Christian.

McCoy, authorities said, was using the one-pot, shake-and-bake method. Christian said McCoy has a history of drug charges, including a recent arrest for manufacturing methamphetamine.
