'Get on with it.'

That is among the messages from Birmingham City fans as the EFL prepares to decide what sanctions Blues might face.

There is talk that Blues are under the threat of a possible 12 points deduction for reaching Profitability and Sustainability regulations.

Blues are expected to face a three-strong panel later this month to learn their fate.

Here's what Bluenoses on social media make of the situation:

WHAT THE FANS THINK

Paul Duffy: Surely they (efl & Bcfc) are waiting for us to be in a position whereby a points deduction won’t affect our league standing for next season. As would probably be the case right now? I personally don’t think we will make the playoffs btw

BeatusBluey: I hope the powers that be at @BCFC get together the best legal team money can buy and take the @EFL to the highest court in the land if they take the **** with a points deduction If they are ****ed off with us now they aint seen nothing yet.

Mr Birmingham 17/18: A 12 point deduction seems a bit much. I’m sorry but how are we the only club being put through this right now, with all the stupid money being thrown around. It’s very much a “who can we pick on now” thing that’s going on here! #BCFC #BirminghamCity

Gary J. Richards: Be typical that we have a decent run, get into the playoffs, then the EFL throw us out with a 12-point deduction. I’m just concentrating on us getting to 60 points so we’re safe from drop. #BCFC #KRO

Neil Curtis BCFC: Six points deduction is, about right. 12 would be ridiculous, ans unfair, any financial penalty would make a mockery of the system.

Mick: I just don’t get what these rules are supposed to stop !! If they was to deduct us 12 points say and we get relegated and we also get a fine ? How is that making us more financially viable or better off, it out us in a worse financial position surely !! Rules are all backwards

Darryl Lindo: Give us a 20 point deduction, make things more interesting. This season's been too easy

Chris: I’ve actually got a feeling Blues will get enough points to get in the playoffs but the points deduction will mean we’ll be 12th

Michael Edwards: EFL and everyone else has known about this all season and part of last season maybe. Why is it dragging this long it should get all sorted this season then a fresh start in the summer and we can go normal again!!!!

Simon Walker: Lack of clarity is a fairly harsh punishment in itself and I can understand why it’s further raised bad sentiments from #BCFC fans towards the @EFL .’ The fans have been through a lot these last last 8 seasons.

Nick: Get it done so we can push on now; it seems as though the efl are frightened of making the decision.

WHAT THE PLAYERS THINK

Blues striker Lukas Jutkiewicz

“I don’t think it’s really something at the back of our minds, other than we know there’s talk of it,” he told BirminghamLive.

“There’s really no point having a discussion about anything because we none of us know anything, nobody knows anything.

“You hear whispers and things that are written but until something concrete is told, which hopefully comes sooner rather than later, there’s really no thoughts on it, other than we would quite like it to be resolved.

“It benefits everyone once you know where you stand but until we know something concrete there’s ultimately no point in having any thoughts on it.”

WHAT OUR COLUMNIST SAID

Birmingham Live columnist Tom Ross

Can someone explain to a simple soul like me why the delay in deciding exactly what punishment Blues will receive for transgressing the FFP/Profit and Sustainability rules?

Birmingham City have not denied making more than the allowed 39 million pounds over three years so exactly what are they waiting for?

They acted quick enough over the Leeds United “Spygate” nonsense so why the long wait for Blues disciplinary hearing.

Of course we have known since August that the EFL were not happy about the signing of Kristian Pedersen. But that still does not explain the delay.

Whatever the punishment the EFL and the disciplinary commission decide on for goodness sake make it known as soon as possible for the sake of the club and the fans.
