DUI, Theft, Shoplifting Reported In Clark

On 2 separate occasions shoppers at Whole Foods reported their wallets being stolen, Clark Police report.

CLARK, NJ — Clark Police report making multiple arrests for driving under the influence, outstanding warrants and shoplifting recently.

Clark Police blotter:

On Feb. 12 at 3:59 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a wallet from the purse of a patron of the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Paul Sosnowski was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 16 at 1:16 a.m.: In the vicinity of Lake Avenue, police arrested Damille King, 30, of Plainfield for DUI. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Joshua Weber was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 16 at 3:39 a.m.: In the vicinity of Raritan Road, police arrested Michael Burton, 27, of South Plainfield for DUI. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Brad Dustin was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 16 at 5:03 p.m.: Police took a report of a theft of a wallet from the purse of a patron of the Whole Foods Supermarket at 1255 Raritan Road. The incident is under investigation. Police Officer Ronny Taborda was the investigating officer.

On Feb. 16 at 6:40 p.m.: Police arrested Allan Reyes, 48, of Jersey City for shoplifting from the Marshall’s Department Store at 77 Central Ave. He was subsequently released on his own recognizance pending a court date. Police Officer Ronny Taborda was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 17 at 4:06 a.m.: In the vicinity of Oak Ridge Road, police arrested Damon McPleasant, 25,of Newark on outstanding warrants from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department, Edison and North Brunswick for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Edison Police Department. Police Officer Anthony Salas was the arresting officer.

On Feb. 18 at 8:21 p.m.: In the vicinity of Broadway, police arrested Steve Mitchell, 24, of Harrison on outstanding warrants, totaling $1,550, from Harrison and Union for contempt of court. He was subsequently turned over to the Union Police Department. Sgt. Ricardo Oliveira was the arresting officer.
