CT Man Missing Since 2011 Found Dead In Pennsylvania

Police said a Waterbury man who has been missing since 2011 was found dead in Pennsylvania.

WATERBURY, CT - Police said a Waterbury man who has been missing for nearly seven years was found dead in Pennsylvania, according to media reports. The announcement came after medical officials compared the man's DNA with that of a skull discovered a couple years ago.

George Rymko of Waterbury was reported missing Jan. 22, 2011, and and was last seen alive in Scranton, Pennsylvania, the Times-Tribune reported. He was 49 at the time of his disappearance.

Rymko's blue 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe with Connecticut plates was later found abandoned at a Gouldsboro, Pennsylvania truck stop on Feb. 2, 2011, according to the Times-Tribune. No further information was discovered until a brake in the case was made by a hunter five years later.
