Banyana coach Ellis nominated for top CAF award

Cape Town - Banyana Banyana coach Desiree Ellis has been nominated for the CAF African Women's Coach of the Year award.

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) confirmed the nominations on Twitter with Banyana Banyana star forward Thembi Kgatlana also making the shortlist for the African Women's Player of the Year award.

Banyana Banyana have the chance to be crowned the best Women's team on the continent with Cameroon and Nigeria also vying for the African Women's Team of the Year gong.

The awards evening will take place in Egypt on January 7, 2020.
