LLANO COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) — Lake LBJ reopened to the public Saturday after being closed for one month because of catastrophic flooding, but officials are still urging people to be careful.

The Lower Colorado River Authority sent out a notice on Oct. 16 saying Lakes Travis, Marble Falls, LBJ, Inks and Buchanan would be closed until further notice.

The flooding forced many to evacuate, and, one month later, residents are still trying to clean up the debris left behind.

Even though the lake is back open, a spokesperson with the LCRA said boaters should slow down because there could still be debris in the water that may be difficult to see, especially at night.
