WALHALLA, S.C. — A South Carolina fisherman has quite a story to tell after reeling in an 89-pound catfish!
Larry Westmoreland said he caught the monster fish on Lake Keowee.
"I told my wife, I caught the biggest fish I've ever caught in my life!" Westmoreland said. "I knew I had a big fish, but I didn't realize it was that big."
Larry Westmoreland said he tried to reel in the catfish at least six times before finally getting it into his boat.
Westmoreland said he plans to deep fry and eat the fish.
Up next, his goal is to catch a 100-pound fish!
