Goodbye, Prairie Berry East Bank.

And hello, Miner Brewing Company and Prairie Berry Winery Taproom.

The Hill City-based company has unveiled the new, more beer-centric, name for its Sioux Falls location in the Western Mall.

The taproom, currently under construction, will have a greater emphasis on craft beer than the previous location downtown.

"As we transition to the new space and out of the restaurant industry, we wanted to ensure our identity and offerings were clear and concise," said Angela Avila, director of sales and marketing at Prairie Berry. "We feel the new name showcases exactly what we do, who we are and what our guests can expect."

Miner Brewing Company and Prairie Berry Winery Taproom will be home to a pilot brewing system, producing some experimental beer.

"Our first four years in downtown Sioux Falls exposed both our brands to the east side of the state," continued Avila.

"Many of our guests already knew and loved Prairie Berry wines. At that time, Miner Brewing Company was still a new brewery. Since launching, the positive feedback and fan-following we have seen for our beer influenced the decision to elevate both brands at our new location."

The new space will be over 3,000 square feet and have an indoor occupancy of 90.

Although Miner Brewing Co. has not yet set an opening date, the business hopes to open soon.

"We are working hard to get everything right," said Avila. "We can't wait to open the doors and invite Sioux Falls in for a drink!"
