Apollo Nida, husband of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks, has prison sentence got more intense after he broke the law in jail.

Nida has been sentenced to a year and a half in maximum security after he was caught having a cell phone to call his close ones in New Jersey’s Fort Dixon prison facility.

“The prison staff took Apollo’s violation very seriously,” one insider at Fort Dixon told Radar Online earlier this month. “He was taken out of camp with the general population and placed in maximum security.”

But he’s not the only one impacted by the upgraded sentence. Now he and Parks’ sons, Ayden, 5 and Dylan, 2, will have to undergo full body scans before they can see Nida when they visit him from Atlanta. As for Parks, she doesn’t seem to be a person-of-interest after she took the boys to visit him a couple of months ago.

“Phaedra has not been questioned," the source continued.

Still, the cell phone issue isn’t Nida’s first setback. Apparently he doesn’t have too many friends in the facility, where Teresa Giudice of Bravo’s The Real Housewives of New Jersey husband Joe Giudice is also serving his fraud sentence.

“Apollo is not well-liked among the other prisoners because he thinks he’s still a famous reality star. He wanted special treatment, and had a hard time adjusting to prison life.”

Nida was sentenced to eight years after he pleaded guilty to several fraud charges like identity theft. Keep up with Enstars for the latest.
