Bolingbrook Lawyers to Provide Free Consultations At Event

The free event is later this month at Bolingbrook's Fountaindale Public Library.

(The following press release was submitted to Bolingbrook Patch for publication.)

BOLINGBROOK, IL - A dozen local Bolingbrook lawyers will join forces on June 30 at Fountaindale Public Library, 300 W. Briarcliff Road in Bolingbrook to provide free consultations to residents. The event is intended to assist residents with legal problems by giving them an opportunity to speak one on one with a licensed attorney. Attorney Joe Giamanco, of Giamanco Law Partners, initially proposed the idea to several of his colleagues within the local legal community as a means to provide outreach to those who may have legal questions but cannot afford to hire an attorney.

Other lawyers quickly offered to pitch in and help. An initial organizing meeting was held at the offices of Steven Prodehl and Wayne Kwiat on March 7. Those in attendance recognized the need to provide residents with help over a diverse set of practice areas.

“Bolingbrook’s legal community is very small, there are only about two or three dozen lawyers who actually have local offices here," attorney Giamanco stated. "Those of us who do, we get along very well. We work together from time to time and frequently will refer cases between each other to make sure clients get the best help available for a particular legal issue, while sometimes that might be me or someone in my firm, it may also be someone else just down the street. Locally we have many outstanding attorneys and to have so many of them participating in this event is an incredible opportunity for the community.”

The event will take place from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will start off with a 20 – 30-minute presentation by attorney Mary Helen Reyna, of Reyna Law Offices, on basics of immigration issues. The remaining time will be open for walk in consultations. Consultations with attorneys will be on a first come, first served basis and last approximately 20 minutes. There is absolutely no cost for the event and no obligation to hire the attorney.
Practice areas covered by the event will include: Family Law, Divorce and Custody, Immigration, Workman's Compensation, Personal Injury, Wills, Trusts and Estate Planning, Real Estate, Civil Litigation, Debt Collection Defense, Bankruptcy, HOA Law, Contract Law, Criminal Defense, Traffic and DUI Law, and Employment and Labor Law.
Participating attorneys include: Steven Prodehl, Wayne Kwiat, Kimberly Anderle-Abma, Anita Kontoh Scott, Bart Durham, Brian Keeley, Joel Brown, Molly Stojanov, Alonzo Zahour, Mary Helen Reyna, Phyllis Roman, Jaime Olson and Joe Giamanco.
