Missing: Man With Dementia Walks Away From San Lorenzo Home

He speaks Cantonese. His son says Wu's memory problems make it hard to communicate.

SAN LORENZO, CA — An Alameda County man went missing Tuesday and sheriff's officials have asked for help finding him.

Yupei Wu, 77, walked away from his San Lorenzo home Tuesday morning with no cellphone, no wallet and temperatures are dropping, sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Ray Kelly said.

Wu is 5 feet 10 inches tall, 160 pounds with black-and-gray hair.

He was last seen wearing a long black jacket that goes over his hips, a gray baseball cap, gray Puma sport pants and white running shoes with a yellow band on the side.

Wu's son Bailin Wu said his father has memory problems and finds it hard to communicate. He speaks Cantonese and is likely in the San Leandro or San Lorenzo area.
