Notley stands by criticism of Saskatchewan economy as feud continues

The feud continues between Alberta and Saskatchewan after Premier Rachel Notley stood by her criticism of how our neighbouring province has handled their economy again on Friday.
During a tour of the Minhas Micro Brewery on Thursday, Notley jabbed at the outgoing Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall saying “one province is making its way out of a recession and one is not.”
She offered some advice to the province’s new leader that’s yet to be elected “look at the facts, look at the data, look at the reporting on economic activity and reconsider the approach they’ve taken up until now.”
On Friday in Calgary, she stood by her remarks. “What we know is that the job numbers that we’ve seen over the course of the last year show a very successful rate of job creation in Alberta and that’s not necessarily shared next door,” said Notley.
“Alberta’s economic prospects are significantly more robust and much more optimistic than those that are associated with provinces that have embarked upon austerity agendas. Bear in mind of course, as well, that Alberta was much more significantly impacted by the drop in the price of oil.”
Wall took to Twitter to offer his own advice for his successor, “don’t listen to an NDP Premier who imposed a carbon tax on her oil-dependent economy and is presiding over an annual $10 billion deficit.”
