New Indian Express – In the first-ever meeting of Indian and Israeli Prime Ministers in a decade, Benjamin Netanyahu invited Narendra Modi for a state visit, asserted “sky’s limit” for improving bilateral ties and talked of expanding cooperation in cyber-security and discussed Iran nuclear talks.
India and Israel established full diplomatic relations in 1992, but it flowered only after Israel PM Ariel Sharon visited Delhi for a three-day visit in 2003 during the NDA tenure. During UPA, there were no major high-level contacts until External Affairs Minister S M Krishna visited Israel in 2012.
