Staten Island Pets: Dogs and cats looking for warm, loving homes this weekend

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Willow the shepherd/mix puppy was just a few weeks old when she and her litter mates were put in a crate and left by the side of the road. Fortunately, they are among the many animals who have been taken in by rescue groups and are kept warm and safe until forever homes are found.

As they do every weekend, caring volunteers will have dogs and cats, kittens and puppies (including Willow) at adoption events around the Island. All the animals are spayed or neutered, up to date on vaccinations and ready to become part of loving families.
