Miami Heat's Chris 'Birdman' Andersen Escorts Single Mom On $1,000 Shopping Spree

Single Mom Snags Huge Shopping Spree With Miami Heat Star

He may be gearing up for the playoffs, but that doesn't mean Chris "Birdman" Andersen of the Miami Heat is so busy he can't help out a fan in need.

On Thursday, the mohawked Heat center stopped by a South Florida Winn-Dixie to escort local single mom Daisy Moore on a shopping spree we doubt she'll ever forget. Moore -- a huge Miami Heat fan -- won the $1,000 grocery shopping spree as part of the Dr. Pepper Mountain Dew "Shop with the Player" contest, NBC 6 South Florida reports.

"I work overnight so I always DVR the games," Moore told the local NBC affiliate. "Being a single mom it's hard at times, but this will save me a lot. I'm very grateful."

After piling all the family's favorite foods into a cart and checking out at the register, Birdman went on bag boy duty, unloading heaps of groceries out in the parking lot.

"Giving back to the community is very special for us," the basketball star said.
