Heading to The Ranch! Debra Winger signs on to play Ashton Kutcher's mother in upcoming Netflix sitcom
Debra Winger is heading out to The Ranch with Ashton Kutcher.
The 60-year-old actress has been cast as the mother to 37-year-old Ashton's character in Netflix's upcoming comedy, according to Deadline.
Danny Masterson and Sam Elliott will also co-star in the multi-camera sitcom set on a Colorado ranch.

Best known for her Oscar-nominated roles in Terms Of Endearment and An Officer And A Gentleman, Debra has only rarely worked on episodic television before this.
She did have a one-season arc on Showtime's drama, In Treatment, in 2010, but that was her only multi-episodic arc since 1977, when she appeared on three episodes of Wonder Woman.
Still, with an Emmy nomination - for the 2005 TV movie, Dawn Anna - and three Oscar nominations for acting (plus another for documentary production), Debra can likely handle the new format.

Sitcom veterans Ashton and Danny, 39, can probably help if necessary - the close friends co-starred on That '70s Show between 1998 and 2006.
Ashton, of course, also recently finished an 84-episode stint as one of the leads on Two And A Half Men.
In The Ranch, Ashton and Danny will play brothers - Ashton's character has just returned home from a semi-professional football career to help run the ranch.

Their father will be portrayed by 71-year-old Sam, a movie veteran whose most recent TV experience was a 12-episode arc on the final season of Justified earlier this year.
The Ranch was created by Don Reo and Jim Patterson, who will also executive-produce along with Ashton and Danny.
Netflix has ordered 20 episodes of the show, which it expects to debut at some point in 2016.
