Tucker Carlson was hard at work Saturday on Fox Snooze.
A tuckered-out Carlson grabbed some winks Saturday morning — while he was supposed to be hosting “Fox & Friends.”
His two co-hosts, his very own Fox Friends, knew just what to do.
Cut to a commercial? No way! They aimed their banter at Carlson.
“He’s really asleep,” said Mike Jerrick, as he delightedly put his finger to his lips.
Alisyn Camerota laughed lightly at Carlson’s predicament, observing, “I don’t think we’re being good co-hosts right now.”
Her giggles awoke the conservative cat-napper after a moment, and he let out an “mmm” as he shook his head and stretched.
“Good to see you!” Jerrick jibed. “Welcome to ‘Fox & Friends.'”
“I know we’re not on television, so it doesn’t bother me,” a drowsy Carlson said, half hoping he was right, but fully suspecting he was wrong. That was just too much for Camerota.
“No need to be embarrassed,” she said with a flip of her hand. “This is a commercial break.”
Truth dawning, apparently like his day, Carlson asked: “Is this honestly on TV?”
This being a talk show, there had to be analysis.
“In the 15 years of this program, I don’t think that’s ever happened,” Jerrick said.
Camerota concurred — and handed her sleepy cohort a cup of coffee.
“I sat in for Sean Hannity last night. It went late and all of a sudden I was sitting there and I was just having these happy thoughts and just dozed off,” Carlson explained.
The clip may just become Carlson’s best-known show. You know, the one where he doesn’t talk.
