A crash on Swarkestone Bridge is caused long delays for drivers this evening.
The incident happened at 4pm and involved three cars. The bridge was closed at about 5.30pm and only reopened an hour later.
A police spokeswoman had said it was likely to cause traffic problems for "some time" as all three vehicles were not driveable.
She said that meant they would all need to be picked up by a recovery vehicle.
The crash, she said, had "done some minor damage to the bridge's brickwork".
The cars involved were a Skoda Octavia, Ford Scorpio, and a Renault Clio.
