Courteney Cox keeps it casual in navy long-sleeved top and jeans while shopping in Malibu…as she keeps herself busy after the Friends reunion is pushed back

The Friends reunion has been pushed back.

And Courteney Cox seems to be using her free time wisely.

The 56-year-old actress was spotted shopping for gardening supplies at an outdoor supply store in Malibu on Monday.

She kept it casual as she wore a long-sleeve navy blue t-shirt, blue jeans, and black leather shoes; she kept a pair of aviator-style eyeglasses on for part of her shopping trip and accessorized with a leather purse.

To keep herself safe in the face of rising COVID-19 cases, Cox wore a black face mask for most of the outing.

The trip comes not long after the news that the upcoming Friends reunion has been pushed back until 2021, with filming slated to begin in March.

The news was first reported earlier this month in a tweet by series costar Matthew Perry, who made the announcement through his Twitter account.

The tweet read: 'Friends reunion being rescheduled for the beginning of March. Looks like we have a busy year coming up. And that's the way I like it!'

Taking it easy: The actress wore a simple outfit consisting of a long-sleeve t-shirt, jeans, and a pair of black leather shoes.

The reunion of the wildly popular sitcom was first announced in late 2019, with the entire original cast and series creators set to return.

The special is tentatively titled The One Where They Got Back Together, and was set  to premiere on HBO Max in May, along with the release of the entire series on the streaming platform.

While filming on the episode was slated to begin on March 23rd, production was shut down indefinitely just days before in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Perry's announcement has been the most recent news that has come from anyone involved in the project.

The sitcom first debuted on NBC in September of 1994 and was an immediate success; the show ultimately ran for 10 seasons.

Critical reception was mixed at first, but eventually improved as the show progressed, and the show went on to win numerous accolades, including the 2002 Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.

In 1996, Cox, along with the rest of the cast, won the SAG award for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Comedy Series.

The show's success resulted in a spinoff show centered around Matt LeBlanc's character Joey; it ran for two seasons from 2004 until 2006.
