Olly Murs has left fans feeling overwhelmed after sharing a compilation of old clips from when he presented The X Factor with his late pal Caroline Flack.

The pair hosted the The Xtra Factor between 2011 and 2012 before going on to host the main show as a duo until 2015.

What made their appearances so memorable though was their hilarious dance entrances to the beat of popular songs such as Abba's Dancing Queen and Michael Jackson's Black Or White.

Looking back on his time with Caroline, Olly decided to share a montage video of their time on the show with his 3.1 million followers, captioned: "Oh my god these Entrances," with heart emoji and a crying emoji.

He continued: "just sat in bed this morning watching old clips.. wow I remember this was our favourite part of the show every week and it just made me laugh so much & smile caz! Thinking of ya," [sic] with a praying hands emoji and two crying emojis.

Fans couldn't help but get emotional as they commented underneath to express their sorrow at Caroline's tragic passing.

One person wrote: "Love love love these ... thanks for sharing .... Caroline is very much missed but will never be forgotten," [sic] with a pink heart emoji and a rainbow emoji.

Another said: "Beautiful memories and such a precious friendship," while a third added: "Brilliant! What a loss to the world so beautiful inside and out," alongside a kissing emoji.

A fourth wrote: "I miss you both on screen and the beautiful connection you had and you could tell how special your friendship was and it was beautiful to see".

While a fifth couldn't hold back the tears as they commented: "right now I’m crying at all these videos". [sic]

While their professional career together may have come to an end after quitting the show, Olly and Caroline remained good friends until she was found dead after taking her own life in her London apartment on 15 February.

Olly has had a difficult time coming to terms with his close friend's tragic passing, regularly posting videos and photos of them together across his social media channels.

The singer recently opened up on the horrific moment he was told she was dead – a moment he said he'll "never forget".

"Even answering this question doesn’t seem right, to be honest. I’m still in shock, really," he explained.

"To think I won’t have a conversation, a laugh, work, or even just get a random voice note from Cazza again — I just can’t get my head around it."

Recalling the gut-wrenching moment, he continued: "I heard the news when I was away on holiday. My phone went at 2.23am and I’ll never forget it.

"My manager told me and I just stared at my phone for hours, I didn’t know what to do. I just didn’t want to believe it."

Speaking to The Sun, he explained: "I was numb to any feelings and then I just broke down.

“Since then I just have constant waves of emotions — one minute I’m OK, the next I’m so sad for her. It’s hard, I’ll always miss Caz a lot."
