Clemma Gene Sloan, 92, of East Moline and formerly of Ollie, Iowa, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2017, at Hope Creek Care Center in East Moline.
She was born Wednesday, Aug. 12, 1925, in Hayesville, Iowa, the daughter of Leo and Mildred Keasling Reynolds. Clemma Gene graduated from Ollie High School. On Nov. 10, 1950, Clemma Gene was united in marriage to Delmar Sloan at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa. She was a member of the Ollie Baptist Church VFW Post 2808 in Washington, Iowa, and a former member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers.
She is survived by her son, Craig (Cathy) Wonderlich, Moline; a daughter-in-law, Janie Wonderlich, Bennett, Colo.; four grandchildren, Courtney Borwig, Deep River, Iowa, Cari Rieder, Davenport, Krista Nunn-Sloan, Moline, and Sean Svec, Milan; 13 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Larry (Verneen) Reynolds, Visilica, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son, Michael Wonderlich; a daughter, Ann Wonderlich; a great-grandson, Kade Rieder; and two brothers, Cloyce and Gordon Reynolds.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 11 a.m. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel, Fremont, Iowa, with the Rev. Gary Reeves officiating. Burial will be at the Ollie Cemetery, near Ollie. Visitation will begin Tuesday, Jan. 2, after 10 a.m. in the Fremont Funeral Chapel and the family will be present at the funeral chapel Tuesday from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. to greet friends and relatives.
